Replacing Fear with Love

We live in a world which breeds fear and anxiety. We fuel our fear by staying plugged into a 24-hour news feed, constantly comparing ourselves to others, and finding our worth through achievements and success.

We are consumed with questions like:

  • What if I lose my job?
  • What will other people think?
  • What if my marriage falls apart?
  • How am I going to succeed as an adult?

These anxiety filled questions begin to guide our daily decisions while affecting our relationships with one another. We become a prisoner of our own fear which results in living self-preserving and defensive lives.

As a follower of Jesus, we are being called out of a life of fear and into the deep abundance of his love. We can rest knowing our security lies in the hands of the Father whose perfect love casts out all fear.

When we dwell in his presence, we are surrounded by this perfect love. We are finally home

Guided Christian Meditation
Each week, reflect, pray, and surrender
Do not be afraid
What fear/s are keeping you from experiencing true freedom in Jesus?

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. -Isaiah 41:10

I will never leave you
When do you feel most alone?

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
-Deuteronomy 31:8

Make your home in me
Where are you spending the majority of your time or energy?

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
-John 15: 4

Week 4
Let me take care of your worries
What areas of your life are you trying to control?

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. -1 Peter 5:7
