FOOD DISTRIBUTION

True Life Ministry seeks to glorify God in the community by meeting physical needs as well as spiritual needs. They host a mobile pantry here at Alsbury once a month to provide groceries to people in the community. They also talk to the people who come through, asking for prayer requests and letting them know that they are not alone. Volunteers who come to the food distribution can help with loading boxes or talking to people. Spanish speakers are always welcome! True Life Ministry also does a homeless outreach periodically.

TRUE FAITH COMMUNITY

True Faith Community’s mission is to provide a safe, supportive environment for men and women who are in need of healing while utilizing Biblical principles and discipleship. They believe it is the Lord’s heart to restore and revive. TFC provides a place of comfort, care, and compassion to celebrate faith and share life together. TFC is currently building housing for 14 members, with the goal of becoming self-sustaining communities. They are seeking volunteers and supporters to assist with finishing this task.

28:19 REFUGEE MINISTRY

The 2819 Refugee Ministry is a “welcome team,” who is assigned a new refugee family, often from Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, or Myanmar. The team furnishes and sets up the family’s apartment and meets them at the airport to welcome them to their new home. The most important part of this ministry is to show God’s love and find ways to share our hope that is found in Jesus, as many of these people have never heard the Gospel presented to them in a meaningful way.
