The Israelites, having been rescued by God and given a mission, fall into a pattern of disobedience and compromise, leading them to live in survival mode. We, too, might be living in survival mode when we neglect God's mission for us, and it calls us to authentic family biblical practices and a compassionate reach to those around us.
