Serve

SERVING IS ESSENTIAL TO THE LIFE OF OUR CHURCH!

We rely on about 100 essential individuals each Sunday and even more throughout the week for various ministries.

When you Say Yes to serving, you are not only Saying Yes to the community of Alsbury, you are Saying Yes to God. There are many opportunities for you to use your time, talent and skills to serve Jesus and our community. Be ready to Say Yes and lean-in to being a part of something bigger than ourselves. You’ll find you always get more than you give!

Nursery/Preschool
Everything we teach our little ones is based on one of three simple, but powerful, truths: God Made Me; God Loves Me; Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever. Volunteers have many opportunities to participate in their faith journey. From welcoming families, check-in, holding babies, playing games, creatively telling faith stories, and much more.

Children (K-5th Grade)
Children’s Ministry is all about creating environments where kids can encounter God and have fun! Everything we do is based on one of the three basic, but profound, truths: I need to make the wise choice; I can trust God no matter what; I should treat others the way I want to be treated. Volunteers have many opportunities to help do this through welcoming families, check-in, playing games, acting in skits, helping lead worship, creatively teaching messages, small group discussion, theme decorations, snack time, and more.

Our goal is for students to CONNECT with God and friends, BECOME passionate about pursuing Jesus, and ENGAGE the world around them with God’s love.

Middle School
The transition from child to teenager can be a difficult process. Our Middle School Ministry is designed to help students during this very important stage in life. Volunteers engage students each week in gender specific small groups to discover ways to apply Biblical truth to their unique situation. There is not only many opportunities on Sunday morning but also throughout the week.

High School
Our high school ministry seeks to empower teens to love Jesus, one another and those who don’t know God. Volunteers help students discover authentic faith, their God-given gifts and how to use them to serve others. Volunteers have many opportunities to help cultivate a passion for Jesus by building relationships with students and parents on Sunday morning and throughout the week.

College/Young Adult Ministry
College Ministry provides a solid foundation of scriptural truths, support, and Godly encouragement to our students to stand on as they navigate the challenges of this life-stage through study and engagement in a loving church community. Ministry volunteers have a strong impact helping our young adults grow in their affection for, obedience to, and service to Christ by organizing community building activities and facilitating Life Group Conversations.
