The Alsbury Food Pantry started with a few cans of food on a shelf then shifted into a walk-in pantry which serviced about 100 families a month.
ENTER 2020 AND COVID
We collaborated with USDA Programs and quickly transitioned into a drive-thru pantry distributing 2500 boxes of food to people.
In February of 2021, North Texas experienced a devastating freeze causing supply lines to stop and grocery story shelves to go bare. We became one of the only viable resources and provided food to over 1200 families.
Currently, we feed approximately 500-600 families every month in collaboration with the Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB). When we have extra, we assist ministries from Fort Worth and Azle.
ANYONE AND EVERYONE
God has shown us that a neighbor is beyond our boundaries and limitations. Our neighbor is Anyone and Everyone with a need. We have been able to serve church members as well as:
- Families in our community
- Elderly communities
- Assisted Living Centers
- Domestic Abuse mothers & children
- School Children during the summer
- The List Continues to Grow
HOW WE DO THIS MINISTRY
The only answer is through the activity of our Loving Father. He has truly provided for this ministry and it’s outreach. We are thankful for the relationships we have built as we pray and love over those who come through and we are thankful for God’s abundance we find in our own lacking,
