PacMin is a local ministry sponsored by First United Methodist providing assistance to the students of BISD who experience food insecurity. These are students who receive assistance during the week at school. School meals may sustain them during the week, but the need also exists over the weekend. Taylor Elementary has about 50 familiesreceiving assistance each week. Alsbury has an opportunity to partner with FUMC to help meet the needs of Taylor students and their families.
Each bag contains very specific items to meet fairness of distribution and allergy needs, so please keep this list handy while you are shopping!
Canned Meat: Vienna Sausage, Tuna / Chicken, Canned pasta w/ meat
Canned Soups
Packaged Fruit: Fruit cups, Applesauce
Pasta: Ramen Noodles, Mac-n-cheese
Snacks: Granola bars, Crackers/Cookies/Cheese Crackers, Crisp rice treats, Animal crackers, Raisins, Fruit snacks, Pudding
Breakfast: Dry Cereal, Instant Oatmeal, Pop Tarts, Muffins, Cereal Bars
Collection areas will be in the gym or you can donate to the Taylor Elementary Fund and we will order a bulk donation at the end of the month.
