April Prayer Guide

“I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”

Jesus prays in John 17:21-23 that we might be as united with each other as He and His Father are united. Our staff, our comittees, our Life Groups, and every place of service at Alsbury have different roles, but our unity brought about by the Holy Spirit, will testify to the world that even in our differences, we share a common goal: to love Jesus by loving each other and drawing our neighbors into His family. Join us in praying for perfect unity as we share life and serve together in Christ.

  • WEEK 1
Pray for Humility. It is an honor and a privilege to interact and serve with each other. Pray for humble and respectful hearts that give consideration to other’s ideas, needs, and gifts above our own. (Philippians 2:3-4)
  • WEEK 2
Pray for Patience and Grace. Pray that instead of being hasty in our responses that can create hurt feelings and offense, that we would be quick to listen, slow to speak, and understanding of the other’s perspective. (James 1:19-20)
  • WEEK 3
Pray for Love. “Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other” (Romans 12:10). Pray for an outpouring of love and honor for each other.
  • WEEK 4
Pray for Peace. Pray that our fruitfulness will be evident by the way we represent Christ when we interact with each other. Unity does not just happen. We have to work at it. Pray for a desire to live a life worthy of our calling, overlooking other’s faults, and making every effort to keep the unity through the bond of peace.
