How does a kid event become multi-generational?
I have fond memories of VBS growing up in Southeast Texas. It was a week out of my summer very well spent — large sugar cookies, watered-down Kool-Aid, a mean game of Red-Rover, and tons of macaroni art. I got to be around different adults, see our church staff in a whole new way and learn about God’s love in a fun and creative way…and let’s not forget the stand-up/sit-down chords.
Today’s Vacation Bible School may look and sound a lot different but it is still the same at it’s core. It is an opportunity for kids to come to church, invite their friends, and be a part of a high-energy, high-impact week.
It is in opportunity for a church to share the love of Jesus and see lives transformed for eternity!
This is how VBS, a kid’s event, becomes multi-generational. It is a All-Hands-On-Deck situation…
This week would not happen without the countless adult and youth volunteers!
We hope you are making plans to be a part of our Weird Animals VBS June 22-26. Your age does not matter. For at least one-week out of the year, you get to act like a kid as well.
