Thank you once again for the gracious provision of the two-month sabbatical I recently completed. While away I reflected a great deal over our twenty-two years of ministry.
Alsbury is a great church; a truly great church.
I am convinced, however, that our greatest days are not those in the past but the days still to come.
I am resolved to lead our church in the continued development of every aspect of our ministry. We are entrusted with the greatest message the world has ever heard. Through Christ lives are changed, families are restored, and communities are transformed. The mission we have been given by Christ himself deserves our full devotion.
I am committed to share Jesus with this generation, but I am equally determined to help grow our ministry into something that will profoundly impact generations to come. Long after we are gone there will be a ministry fulfilling the Great Commission among those who follow us. Decisions we make today impact not only the work we do today but the work that will be done by others tomorrow.
In preparing for another year of ministry our leaders are asking challenging questions about our goals and objectives. Please pray for all who lead. Pray about your involvement in the ministry and mission of Alsbury Baptist Church and commit to a place of service within our ministry.
Together we are going to experience our best years of ministry.
