“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead (Philippians 3:10 NLT).”
Sooner or later we all encounter difficulty or challenges that appear insurmountable. Each of will face crushing pain or crippling disappointment. This is the inevitable experience of all.
Sometimes the hurt results from the actions of other people.
Sometimes the hurt is the consequence of our own decisions.
Either way, pain is an unavoidable part of life.
I have a heightened awareness of Jesus’ ability to “cause all things to work together for good (Romans 8:28).” Jesus is not the author of every disappointment or hurt we experience in life. He is, however, the author of the good that only he can bring about.
Whatever you may face, stand tall. However uncertain your future may appear, remain confident. Regardless of your circumstances, do not forget the following facts.
You are a child of the living God and he is aware of your situation.
He is at work in your life, creating good out of every circumstance.
The same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives in you.
The Holy Spirit of God resides in you and it at work today.
Do not allow your circumstances to dictate your attitude in life.
Focus fully upon the reality that God is at work in you and through you.
I look forward to gathering with you this Sunday to hear Christy Beam testify to what she saw God do in the midst of pain, uncertainty, fear, and discouragement.
