“As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:20 NIV
This was the response of two men when others told them to stop sharing the message of Jesus.
Many feel it is inappropriate to tell other people about Jesus and his love. Voices within the culture say matters of faith should be kept private. Many within the church have embraced this opinion and rarely, if ever, share what they have experienced with Jesus.
We are God’s voice within this culture.
We are Christ’s ambassadors to this generation.
We live in a broken world. We live among a broken people. The gospel, however, is not broken. The gospel of Jesus still changes the world.
The gospel is God’s means to heal the hurting, to restore what has been devoured, to transform this broken world.
This Sunday we will ask what we expect from God as we, like Peter and Joh, speak about what we have seen and heard.
