“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb.”

The Psalmist declares that God was intimately involved in our development from conception onwards. We are not simply the end result of some random lumping of cells, but each one of us was formed by God himself.
The New International Version (NIV) translates the verse as, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” The King James Version (KJV) reads, “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.”
