“LAB Was So Fun Today”

“LAB Was So Fun Today”

Meaningful for the Whole Family

We began attending Alsbury Baptist Church when our oldest child, Ava, was only 2 years old. She has literally grown up in the children’s program. From the first day we dropped her off in the nursery to today, as we drop her off in Lab, we have been incredibly blessed by those serving in the children’s ministry. Our 5 year old son, Landon, loves the Bible story and worship time led by Mrs. Brenda each week. Hearing him sing songs throughout the week that he learned the previous Sunday is music to our ears.

Their leaders in the children’s program have a unique ability to teach biblical stories and principles while making them relevant and fun. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard Ava say:

“Lab was so fun today. You won’t believe what Mr. Gene and Mr. Chris did!”

And most times, we can’t believe it!

Don’t Stand on the sidelines

We are grateful for the leaders at Alsbury as they pour their hearts into our children while helping them connect with God and teaching them that there is no greater love than that of the Father. They have inspired us to give back and also become volunteers in the children’s ministry, which we have done for about four years now. We have been blessed over the years by building relationships with the children, parents, and those we serve alongside.

We were challenged long ago to not merely stand on the sidelines but to take action. By doing so, we stand under the spout where the blessings pour out!
