The coming of the Christ child fulfilled centuries of prophecy and promise. Generations before His arrival had waited. Generations after His arrival in that Bethlehem stable have felt His impact on their life and the world around them.
Jesus came so that we might have life and life to the full. John 10:10
His coming is the reason for our hope. We hope because the God who honored his promises then is the same God that will honor his promises now. His coming provides peace because His sacrifice allows God to look past who we were and are. Instead God sees who we will one day be. The coming of Jesus is the foundation of our joy because our lives are now full of meaning and purpose. Lastly, his coming reveals God’s love for us, inspiring us to love others in the same way.
Christmas Day has come and gone. Decorations have been removed. Boxes are back in the attic.
We’ve all heard, “Keep Christ in Christmas.” Living in the hope, peace, joy, and love of Christ keeps him at the center of our lives, not only this holiday season, but each and every day.
