We are all saddened by recent events in Houston and SE Texas. Hurricane Harvey was devastating as it thrashed against our Texas coastal region and began moving inland. As the rain begins to subside and flood waters recede, the question on everyone’s mind is how can I help. Alsbury has been made aware of some immediate and ongoing needs as we work through clean-up and recovery. Below is a list of needs with different agencies. The list will be updated and revised as we continue to move forward
Please take you Hurricane Harvey donations to the City Market Parking Lot between 10 AM and 6PM. If you are interested in volunteering, check in at that site.
Evacuees from Hurricane Harvey have arrived in Burleson, and we want to be able to help them while they are here. They’re staying in local hotels and other places, and most left with little but the clothes on their backs and their vehicle.
We have received some requests, and here’s how you can help us help them.
UPDATED LIST OF DONATIONS:
- Non-perishable foods — canned goods with pull-tab lids are preferable
- Shelf stable meat (canned chicken)
- Diapers and other baby essentials
- Laundry detergent
- New packages of underwear
- Pet food
