It wasn’t really fair. All she wanted to do was catch the light, but it kept moving.
She’d chase it around the table, then it would end up on the wall. She’d reach for it, only to watch it move back across the floor. At the end of the chase, she just started scratching her head.
No, I’m not talking about a cat. One of our toddlers recently starred in her Dad’s video chasing the beam from her Grandma’s flashlight. Poor kid. Still, it reminded me of one of the great lessons we learned at Weird Animals VBS.
“Even when you don’t understand… Jesus loves you!”
I don’t completely understand VBS at Alsbury. Every year, more and more adults and teens come together to build sets, organize supplies, create rosters, prepare food, teach lessons, lead worship, pick up trash, provide a safe environment, play games, and love on kids. God moves in amazing ways when we work together under his leadership. The thing I love most about VBS is watching the way people’s gifts and abilities fold together perfectly. God did that on purpose for his purpose. We aren’t meant to be loners. When we share our lives, beautiful things happen.
Thanks to every person’s involvement, hundreds heard about Jesus’ unconditional love. Together, we helped make Jesus a little more famous last week.
How will we make him more famous this week?
